Shelby’s Collection Day
By: Dallas L. Dixon
The beloved centipede, Shelby, is back with more adventures. Shelby has learned the importance of charitable deeds and helping those in need. She sets out with all her friends to do just that. Written in poetic style for children 5 to 12 years of age.
Shelby’s Collection Day is about a young centipede who calls her friends and sets up a date to canvass the neighborhood for donations of gently-used items collected for the needy. When the supply is sufficient, the group joyfully distributes the items where they are most needed. This book teaches children about sharing, generosity, helping the needy, and hospitality.
