Author, Barbara Tiffany Ratliff, and Illustrator, Grace Metzger Forrest, grew up together on the coastal peninsula of rural Mathews County, VA. Although they moved away from Mathews and each other as young adults, they have now returned to their hometown and friendship. They have collaborated to bring entertaining stories to children, stories that are also helpful.
Barbara Tiffany Ratliff works in the school system and loves working with children. She is a mother of three and a first time grandmother. Tiffany enjoys riding her horse and teaching special needs children to ride.
Grace Metzger Forrest attended the Art Institute of Atlanta. Her art career has included such things as animating children’s educational software and mutating cells for the CDC. She shares a “junior” farm with her husband and daughter, complete with garden, brown eggs, and two goats.
