AMY CARTY, author of the CARTY TALES series, gets many of her story ideas from her own childhood. The current story in the series, The Little Girl Who Lied, was originally written when she was in fourth grade and is based on a true tale she told her teachers about why she did not have her homework. Ms. Carty says, “I can’t help but use my own childhood experiences as the basis for all of my Tales and to share the important moral lessons I learned.”
