Poems for The Heart, Volume II
By: Joseph J. Cacciotti
Joe Cacciotti began writing poetry when he was seventeen years old. He found that sometimes when thoughts are written into words, magic happens. Says Joe, “I’m not talking about genies popping out of bottles but how I am able to see things more clearly. How beautiful this world truly is!”
Joe tells of being shy as a young man and missing opportunities to talk to the special ladies he liked. One day, he wrote a poem for a girl he had his eye on but was too shy to ask out on a date. “I walked up to her, handed her the poem, and walked away. Later, she approached me, and we went out on a date. I found the magic potion to breaking the ice was a piece of paper and a writing pen.”
Joe began collecting his writings in a notebook. After being told by many different people that he should share his writings with others, he published the ones he thought would touch hearts the most. Joe received a prestigious award for that first book, Poems for the Heart, as being one of the Top Five Most Inspirational Books of 2011. “I hope my poems are an inspiration to all and will help others find their own magic.”
Joseph Cacciotti grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, along the shores of Lake Michigan. His desire to write appeared early in life when his high school teachers encouraged him to write poetry and to become a journalist. His drive to write fiction grew stronger as he matured, and today he is a prolific writer of fiction and poetry.
Joe made a promise to his friend and mentor, Harold A. Schink on his deathbed. Harold asked Joe to never stop writing. Joe has been faithful to that promise. In 2006, he published Poems for the Heart, fifty of his most talked about poems, and Blue Collar Real Estate Mogul, a biography based on true life experiences that he and his best friend endured as landlords in Racine and about a friendship that never stopped growing, even after death. Joe’s latest work, Poems for the Heart, Volume II, was been released in April 2012.
In 2009, Joe completed Hurricane Cores the Big Apple, the first in a series about Samuel James Rufus, an unconventional detective whose methods for getting the bad guys come close to crossing ethical and legal lines in his pursuit of justice. The first book reveals how Sam got the name “Hurricane.” What has not been revealed yet is the dark side of the Hurricane, just how devious he can be. Every story reveals more about the Hurricane. At times, you might ask yourself who the real bad guys are in the story. Sometimes, something more evil than the devil himself is called upon to balance off justice. Hurricane Rocks Wisconsin is the second book in the series. Watch more books in this series coming soon: Hurricane Strips Las Vegas, Hurricane Strikes Rhode Island, Hurricane Mashes Idaho, Hurricane Gold Rushes California, and Hurricane Volunteers in Tennessee.
Joe lives with his wife Diane in Racine, Wisconsin. They have three daughters and a son. Joe continues to write the next books in the “Hurricane Sam Rufus” series.
